Privacy
What we collect when you shop with us, why, and how to have it removed. Last updated October 3, 2026.
Flint + Amber is run by Flow-Eze in Rockford, Illinois. We collect what we need to make, ship and support your order, and to understand how the site is used. We don’t sell your personal information.
When you order
Your name, email address, billing and shipping addresses, phone number (if you give one), your need-by date, gift message, PO number, and the designs you create: the names, dates, initials and artwork printed on your pieces. We use these to make your proof, print and ship your order, send order emails, and answer questions about it.
Card payments are handled by Stripe. Your card number goes to Stripe, not to us. Stripe also calculates sales tax from your address.
Your cart
Your cart is kept in your browser. So we can see what people are building and improve the site, your browser also sends us the contents of your cart (the products, quantities and the wording on your design) under a random ID. It carries no name, email or address. We look up your approximate city and state from your IP address when it arrives, using a database on our own server, and keep only the city and state, not the IP address. We delete it 30 days after the cart was last changed, or as soon as you empty it.
Saved designs and cart reminders
If you choose Save my design, or enter your email at checkout, we save your cart to that address so you can come back to it. We may then send up to three reminders about it over the next few days. The last one may include a one-time discount code. Every reminder has a link to stop them, and they stop on their own once you order. Saved carts are deleted within about three months of the last reminder.
We also send reorder reminders for dates you ask us to remember (an anniversary, say), only if you set them up after approving a proof.
Text messages
If you agree to order updates by text, we record that agreement: the wording you agreed to, when, and the IP address it came from. Marketing texts need a separate agreement. See our text message terms.
Analytics and advertising
We use PostHog to see how the site is used, including recordings of sessions with everything you type into a form hidden. We use tags from Google, Meta(Facebook and Instagram), Microsoft and Pinterest to measure our ads and to show our ads to people who have visited. These services set cookies and may combine what they see here with what they know from elsewhere, under their own privacy policies. You can block them with your browser’s privacy settings or an ad blocker, and the site will still work.
We also keep your ZIP code in a cookie, so delivery estimates show without retyping it, and your checkout details in your browser, so the form is filled in next time on that device. “Not you? Start fresh” at checkout clears them.
Who else handles your information
- Stripe: payments and sales tax.
- Resend: sending our emails.
- Sent.dm: sending text messages, if you agreed to them.
- UPS and other carriers: delivery rates and shipping your order.
- Google: address lookup as you type at checkout.
- Railway: hosting this site and its data.
- Dropbox: moving print files to our production floor.
They use your information to do that job for us, not for their own marketing.
How long we keep it
Order records, including what was printed, are kept as long as we need them for accounting, tax and warranty questions, and so we can reprint or reorder a design for you. Cart data is kept for the times given above.
Your choices
Email hello@flintandamber.com to see what we hold about you, correct it, or have it deleted. We’ll keep only what the law requires us to keep for orders already placed. To stop cart reminders, use the link in any reminder. To stop texts, reply STOP.
Children
This site is for adults. We don’t knowingly collect information from children under 13.
Changes
When what we collect changes, we update this page and the date at the top. Questions go to hello@flintandamber.com.
